Warriors vs Thunder

So if you don't know already, I'm an OKC fan and yesterday they played the most bandwagon team (The Golden State Warriors). The game was really close throughout the whole game and was extremely close toward the end of the game. With 0.7 seconds left the Warriors were down two but Andre Igoudala was fouled so he got 2 free throws potentially to tie the game. If he missed even 1 free throw the Warriors might have lost. He made both free throws which sent the game to OT ( overtime) tied at 103. In overtime, the thunder mainly dominated but towards the end things got really close. The warriors had came back and tied the game at 118. With a couple of seconds left, the warriors had the ball. They decided to let their most valuable player Steph Curry to take the potential game winning shot. Steph starts to dribble up the court and shoots a very deep 3 thinking he wont make it but somehow he did. In my opinion, the shot wouldn't have been difficult for Steph because he has almost unlimited range on the court. They also clinched the playoff this game becoming the second team to clinch the playoffs in February after the 1987-1988 Lakers. All in all, this was a very interesting and entertaining game and I hope to see the Thunder and Warriors face of in the Playoffs.

Anderson Varajeo on the Warriors.

So the trade deadline was last week and many trades were made. The most interesting one to me was the Warriors getting Anderson Varajeo from the Cleveland Cavilers. Since the Warriors and Cavs are rivals then getting a player from the cavs to the warriors was funny. Anderson probably thought why not join the Warriors if he can't beat them. In my opinion, I think it'll take some time for him to adjust to his new teammates especially since they were former rivals. Maybe the Warriors players will have a bad reputation for him as well as the Warriors fans just because he was a former cavalier. Who knows? His first game as a Warrior, he might get booed by fans but I don't think so. Also many other trades were made. Channing Frye from the Portland Trailblazers was traded to the cavilers. Also as of right now, Joe Johnson from the Brooklyn Nets might sign with the Miami heat. I think if he did go to the heat, there would be a new big three consisting of Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and Joe Johnson. Joe Johnson is a very good player who is a bit under rated by many people. All in all, the trades were very interesting and I would like to see how many players will perform with new teammates.

Kevin Durant To The Warriors?????

The trade deadline has already ended and before it ended there were many rumors about Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors. Many rumors were saying that the Warriors were interested in KD but it turns out that was all fake information but can you imaging KD on the Warriors. The Warriors would be unstoppable if they had KD plus Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. In reality, the Warriors wouldn't have enough money to sign KD unless they removed Andre Iguodala and Andrew Bogut. The Warriors really wouldn't do that plus they don't have much interest in KD. Also to have 3 scoring players on one team would be a lot of ball hogging. Nobody besides Steph, Kevin, and Klay would only have the ball. Even though KD wasn't traded to the Warriors the Warriors can pull of a title. Also if you don't know already Kevin Durant is a free agent at the end at this season which will bring a lot of interest among many teams. There are rumors that the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in him but people aren't sure if that's true. Kevin Durant is in his prime right now and is still in search for a championship but can't pull one off in Oklahoma City. Who knows if he will leave the Thunder and sign with another team in search for a championship. According to many sources, Kevin Durant will probably sign again with the thunder. All in all, Kevin Durant has a lot of opportunities when he is released to free agency.

All-Star Weekend Recap

This years All-Star weekend was very amazing in my opinion. The skills challenge, the three point contest, the dunk contest and the actual All-Star game was amazing. To start off with the skills challenge, if you don't know already Karl Anthony Towns won the Skills Challenge. Towards the end, he was at a shootout with Celtics point guard, Isaiah Thomas. They were both missing 3 pointers but luckily Karl Anthony Towns hit the shot first to win the competition. After the skills challenge was the 3 point contest. Everybody was thinking former 3 point contest champion Steph Curry was going to win but they were proved wrong. The splash brothers ( Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson) were at it trying to win the title. Both of them made it to the final round. First up was Steph. He finished with 23 points. Everybody thought he won already. Now it was Klay's turn. He was on fire and beat his teammate 27-23. In my opinion, the 3 point contest was very entertaining especially towards the end. The most interesting and best part of the all-star weekend was the dunk contest. This years was full of out of this world dunks. Aaron Gordon and Zach Lavine made it to the final round and that's when it started to get interesting. Aaron Gordon performed very interesting and unique dunks including jumping over the Orlando Magic mascot on a hoverboard. But in the end, Zach Lavine won back to back titles. In my opinion, Aaron Gordon should have won but I guess its the judges opinions to who wins. Finally, the actual all star game was great. The west won 196-173. The west had almost made it to 200 points. All in all, all star weekend was amazing and very interesting.
